The long week! AKA the week from hell!

I haven't posted much this week for a number of reasons.  I have been so tired because of all we had going on!
Monday we ran errands, and had to take my husband to the dentist for an emergency visit.  A filling he just had done 4 days prior just spilt and fell apart! Fun!

Tuesday I had a colonoscopy because I have been having some problems. They are not fixed I am just going to see another doctor because the test was normal.  Great! I guess I have hemroids I don't know and erectociel.  I don't even know how to spell those or if they are even the right words.  I was still on the anesthetic when the doctor talked to me.  I don't know why he even did a colonoscopy he must have needed money for his vacation!  He spent five minutes with me at an appointment and said lets do a colonoscopy.  I figured he knew what he was talking about. Now I am not so sure!

Wednesday the day started so bad.  Hubby and I were not getting along.  Later, I had such a bad headache my husband had to come home from work to help me and to take care of the kids because I couldn't. Earlier that day the kids and I ran errands and on the way home I had to stop to call my brother and his girlfriend so they could drive us home because my migraine got so bad I couldn't see to drive!

Thursday hubby took vacation to be with me because he was having a bad time at work and we weren't getting along.  The day started bad with us talking about divorce and me thinking I'd go stay at my moms.  The tone quickly changed and we spent the day together.  It was a nice day with the family.  I still had a headache and wasn't feeling my best.  I think a lot of it was due to stress.

Friday Treated the carpets at my moms house because her 6 dogs have a lot of accidents! Then we dropped the kids off at my cousins because I had to have surgery.  I had a lipoma on my upper thigh.  We thought it was the size of a golf ball, but got in there and the dr realized it was bigger than my fists!

Saturday I was in pain and feeling bad didn't do to much thank goodness for my hubby!  Hubby steam cleaned my moms carpets!

Sunday I was still hurting but we had big plans for today we took the kids to see Hop (great movie but my 3 year old didn't sit quietly all through it)!  Then took the kids to my cousins to watch them because hubby and I were meeting with pastor for martial counseling.

Monday basically a good day.  Hubby and I are doing good.  He texted me today and asked me to marry him, and I said Yes!

The Dentist Visit!

The visit wasn't as bad as I thought. It was hard having to get her up early, despite the fact that she has been getting up earlier than usual the past few weeks. I still had to wake her up and I hate that. I hoped Christopher would sleep until after I left, but no such luck. He was mad he didn't get to go, but enjoyed playing with daddy. Daddy was very tired because he works nights, and even though this was on a morning that he didn't work before he was still very tired. He has a hard time sleeping at night on his nights off. I kept waking up and reminding him he needed to sleep, but he didn't. Sure enough he was tired as hell that morning. He said, "You should have got someone to watch Christopher!" At that point it was to late. Not to mention he was rude when I "politely" reminded him he would have to be up before 8 and it would probably take 2 hours. He handled it well even though he was tired, but the house didn't! I think Christopher played with everything!

Evie was excited when we got there because of the toys in the play area. I signed in and waited. First they took us back and gave her two types of medication to sedate her. I don't remember what they were. She took them very well. Even though the assistant said the one tasted bad. I could tell by Evie's face that if was gross! We had to make her drink the last little bit, or at least persuade her a little. She did great. I was amazed. I had expected a battle. Then we went to the waiting room and waited.

I paid and made her next appointment so after wards I had nothing to worry about but her. Then we waited for the drugs to kick in. It didn't take long first she started to stumble around then slur her speech. It got so bad she couldn't walk, but she kept trying. I had to help her a lot. Then she got tired so she laid in my lap. She would drift off the jump up and start talking. I could hardly understand her what she would say. She climbed into the dentist's toy box and laid down. It was funny. I video taped a little with my camera, but don't know how to get the video off of the SD card. My computer didn't recognize it.

Finally, they called us back. I had to carry her of coarse. We went into the room and on the dentist chair (you know the laid back kind) was a board like they use on ambulances when someone has a head or neck injury. They laid her down on it. Their was a mesh blanket with Velcro straps all along it. That wrapped around her to hold her down. She had a blood pressure cuff on one arm and a oxygen thing on the other. She didn't like the thing on her finger for the oxygen, and pulled her arm out of the blanket right away. So they let me hold that hand. I was glad to do something!

They put the gas mask over her nose. It was red and scented like strawberries. I asked her if she smelled the strawberries. She said, "Yeah, strawberries!" But I could hardly understand it. In fact it took me a few seconds to realize what she said. Then they put sunglasses on her. Pooh glasses. I know she liked that she loves sun glasses. It was so cute, but you could barely see her face.

Then they began. It only took about 30 min for them to fix all 4 teeth. The first two went smooth. They drilled, then filled them, and used some type of UV like light to dry the sealer quickly. The second two must have hurt, because she began to squirm and fuss. I started talking to her and she relaxed. Then it was all over. Come back in a week! She got a couple stickers and a balloon!

When we got to the car the worst of it started. She was cranky. She was tired and now hungry! They said no food until the sedation wore off so she wouldn't choke. I gave her chocolate milk when we got home. She was fine with that. However, she wanted mommy and so did brother. Who although he was fine with daddy realized he missed mommy when I got home. I thought he was tired, because he too was cranky. So I literally had both kids just screaming and crying. Christopher also wanted Evie's balloon. She was in no mood to share. She tired to lay down with it. I laid down with both of them and turned on cartoons. Christopher did not want to sleep. Lucky for me Evie fell asleep fast! I made sure she was comfortable and safe. Then I took Christopher and ran a few errands really quick. Daddy and Evie were both asleep in the king size family bed. Which could be just a little bit bigger if you asked me!

Our first stop ruining errand was the dentist's office to ask for another balloon for jealous brother. It had to come from there because if it wasn't the same Evie would then be jealous! The end teeth fixed and disaster averted!

Dentist visit!

Evie goes to the dentist on Wednesday for her front teeth to be fixed. She has bottle rot. She will have to drink anesthetic mixed with juice and have laughing gas. If she doesn't tolerate it well they will reschedule her in the hospital and put her under. We have to be their at 8am because she can not eat or drink after midnight! She is never up at 8am! This is already sounding like a nightmare! I dread waking her up!

Plus, many nights she wakes up and drinks water or chocolate milk in the night! What am I gonna do if she wants a drink. I will be up with a screaming tired kid! That will wake up her brother, too. Then after I get them back to sleep I will soon have to wake her up again to force her to drink something that probably tastes like crap! You know it will! They think she will drink it, like a juice box! Ha! I don't think so! We will see!

Teeth and Teeth!

We are up to our elbows in teeth and dealing with teeth. Christopher has 3 or 4 teeth coming in at once. He just went to the dentist and got a great check up. He didn't like the dentist looking at his teeth at all. After all was done the dentist told him bye and all he did was give the man a horrific look then bury his face in my shoulder!

Evie's check up was not so great. She is still on the bottle. I can't get her off it! I don't know what to do. I don't want to just take them away! You all know how that will go, non stop crying for days. I can't deal with that at all. It is bad enough the constant screaming lately. Most days I am lucky if I get a few minutes to myself without a kid in my arms. I wouldn't change that for the world, but I'm not about to add to the noise. My head can't take it. However, I may have to! The dentist says she has what is called "bottle rot" on her 4 front teeth and it must be repaired!

She will have to drink something to sedate her just to get her to allow them to do the procedure! Plus, the meds they will have to give her for pain. She will need 4 fillings. This will cost us around 150.00$, all because we have let her keep drinking her bottle. I think the worst is that she always has had bottles at night and throughout the night as well.

She also has the front part just under her upper lip is way to prominent, and will most likely at some point need clipped. On top of all this she has only 4 front teeth instead of 6. Two of them fused together for some reason. For this we are waiting until she is old enough for X-rays to see how many permanent teeth she will have.

I have to hold the kids down each night to brush their teeth. I wrap them in their special blankets in order to hold them still. Most nights they protest, but it is usually short lived. I also have to put special paste on Evie's teeth afterwards. It is made up of the same stuff as her teeth to help strengthen them. Then all night only water until breakfast. Which is a hard transition for both of them, and I occasionally cave in a little for my own sanity. If they are screaming for a bottle at 3 or 5 am I usually give in. I try not to, but if I feel the battle will last for ever I cave. I need sleep to! I feel horrible about it because I know its for their best interests, but still I am so tired lately!

I wish I had followed my instincts and taken her to a pediatric dentist months ago, like last year! If you have a baby take them to a pediatric dentist at 6 months to get things started. The best thing for teeth is prevention!
