allergies or something else

I posted last year about the horrible itching on my palms and soles of my feet.  No I haven't had time to get it checked out.  I need to go in for fasting blood work.  I have a slightly elevated liver enzyme, but my doctor assures me that if it were my liver these incidents would happen more often.  The last one woke me up from sleep at midnight.  I thought maybe it was stress so I took one of my husbands muscle relaxers and keep my mind busy till I fell asleep.  Anytime I start to feel tingly in my palms I try to relax and practice some deep breathing.  I'm not sure if it helps or not.  I think it does.  So that's where I am at with that.  I feel so guilty taking time for my self to do anything even doctor appointments that I often put them off.  I know I shouldn't and this is important to have checked out, but so is everything else.  I learned the hard way not to put the dentist off. LOL

Allergies or something else???

Every once in a while I have this horrible experience my palms and soles itch like crazy.  I also feel very sick when it happens.  Usually it starts with me feeling sick to my stomach and having abdominal cramps then out of no where the itching starts and it drives me insane.  I have taken a hot shower every time.  I don't know if it actually helps or just distracts me.  The episodes last for a couple hours.  Almost bad enough to send me to the emergency room, but my copay is 200.00 {I'm not paying that unless I'm worried i might die}.  Especially for the type of care you usually get in the er, but you get my point.  I have no idea what it could be.  I doubt allergies since I have had all the same things on other days and had no reaction.   It has happened 4 times in the last 6 months.  It just freaks me out because its odd, and EXTREMELY unpleasant.

If you wondering why I haven't posted in forever it's not because I'm depressed.  Nope, I am actually feeling really good these days.  I am just sick!  I had surgery the beginning of the month which took longer to recover than expected!  The pain medicine made me so sick and floaty feeling that I was miserable.  Now I am just sick.  Saw the doctor today and I have an upper respiratory infection.  The kids all have runny noses and coughs.  I asked about them, but because they are not acting sick I didn't bring them in.  He said their symptoms sound more like allergies.  So we'll watch them for the next few days and see how it goes.  I am on antibiotics and cough medicine ( that doesn't take the cough away it just makes me feel like I need to cough but can't)! 

Easter was so fun, but for another day!  Goodnight for now!  If I can stop coughing long enough to actually sleep!

All three of the the kids have had a cough and runny nose for some time.  Ally had an ear infection and just finished her antibiotics.  Evie saw the doctor to.  He said their lungs were clear.  So it seemed to be allergies.  Topher didn't see the doctor and I think he needs to.  His cough seems to be getting way worse.  I tried giving him his breathing treatments, but they don't seem to help.  He doesn't seem to have a runny nose,  but it could be draining down the back of his throat.  Nobody has a fever.  It's just that when Topher gets a cough he usually coughs so much he vomits.  Evie and Ally's cough has both improved some, but not gone.  I hope they haven't gotten some other virus!

Cranky Kids!

Both my kids are sick enough to be cranky and miserable, but not bad enough to go to the doctor. I am so worried because usually they end up having to go to the doctor any ways. If I rush and take them now then the doctor will think I am crazy, but if I wait they suffer. I don't know if they need antibiotics or not. I understand that with antibiotics you usually feel better within 24-48 hours. I also don't want them on antibiotics if they don't need them.

They both have runny noses, coughs, and sneezes. I'm giving them allergy medicine and Tylenol or Motrin. I am doing my best for them, but I don't feel so hot either! Their sleep schedules are out of whack to. Which only makes things worse for me because I don't get to sleep! I hope they start feeling better soon. I really hope they don't get worse, and end up at the doctors.

I am thinking about getting a humidifier for their room. I heard they have ones that kill bacteria while they run so you don't have to clean them every day! Who has time for that? I saw one but it was triple the price of the other ones. I guess if it works and saves you time it is well worth it. Plus, with winter coming I am sure we will get our use out of it!
